Facebook Launches Market Place: Place To Buy And Sell Your Goods

Facebook has gone beyound Social media and decided to launch a Market place where you can buy and sell your things just like JiJi and olx

Bowen Pan of Facebook said, up to 450 million people already use Facebook to buy and sell used goods every month, mainly through its groups feature. With Marketplace, Facebook is now giving users a more formal process to conduct these exchanges.

A button for Marketplace will replace the Messenger icon in the bottom center of the app.
In other words, what you can do on Jiji OLX etc you can now do on Facebook market place. But it’s important to note that  in terms of safety and financial security, Facebook does not have the same kinds of protections or guarantees as eBay. All sales are handled offline and by users themselves.



How Do I Sell Items on Facebook Market Place?
1.       Take a photo of your item, or add it from your camera roll
2.       Enter a product name, description and price
3.       Confirm your location and select a category
4.       Post

Marketplace will be rolling out to everyone over 18 years old in the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand on the Facebook app for iPhone and Android. Subsequently, it will be expanded to other countries of the world.
